The previous two stages brought back to Vesna the joint handicraft activity of women of all ages and nationalities. Over the past months, a strong community of mainly Czech and Ukrainian women has formed in Vesna, learning new techniques from each other, making things for other organisations and using upcycling to build the Made in Vesna brand. An important component is the connection to Vesna’s wardrobe – by emphasizing recycling and upcycling, the stigma against women wardrobe users is reduced.
